The Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Rabe Nasir, has been killed by gunmen. The gunmen were said to have invaded his home at GRA along Daura Road Wednesday night and shot at him several times before absconding. The police have however arrested a suspect linked to the crime.

By press time, police have taken mounted surveillance at his home and neighbourhood.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Sanusi Buba who confirmed the incident also added that his men had commenced investigation to unearth the killers and their motive.

The commissioner’s corpse, according to the police, has been evacuated to the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina.

Terrorists had caused havoc in Katsina including kidnapping Emir of Daura and other dignitaries in the state in recent past.
