The nationwide operations, detailed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, underscore ongoing multi-agency security efforts to safeguard lives and property across the country.
Key Operational Highlights by State
Enugu State (Medical Doctor Rescued): Following intense pressure and search operations by police patrol teams, 53-year-old medical doctor Dr. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu was released unhurt.
He was rescued at Nachi along the old Enugu-Oji River Road, debriefed, and reunited with his family as manhunts for the fleeing suspects continue.
Adamawa State (Terrorist Attacks Repelled): Joint security forces successfully engaged and repelled Boko Haram terrorists advancing from Kopre Hills to target a Military Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Tella Bala Village, Gombi LGA. A similar combined operation involving the military, police, local civil defense, and forest guards repelled an attack on Garha Dutse Village in Hong LGA. Normalcy has since been restored.
Kano State (Bandit Intercepted with AK-47): Police operatives arrested Ibrahim Alhaji Rabi’u of Yardoka Village in Kubau LGA. A search led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle loaded with 18 rounds of live ammunition, suspected to be linked to a kidnapping and ransom operation in Falgore Town.
Lagos State (‘One-Chance’ Robbery Foiled): Operatives on routine patrol responded to a distress call on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island. They rescued a 27-year-old female victim who was being robbed inside a Kia Rio saloon car by ‘one-chance’ operators.
The victim’s quick thinking and resistance prompted the suspects to abandon the vehicle and flee.
Zamfara State (Manhunt Launched in Kaura Namoda): Combined security teams mobilized to Kofar Fada Area following a bandit attack that claimed the lives of two residents, Nura Lawali and Nasiru Kasimu.
The victims’ remains were evacuated to the General Hospital, and an intensive manhunt is underway.

State Criminal Investigation Departments (SCIDs) across the respective commands, including Bompa, Enugu, Yola, Panti, Gusau, and Akure have taken over the various cases to ensure thorough investigations and the apprehension of remaining accomplices at large.
The Force Headquarters has reiterated its commitment to sustaining aggressive intelligence-led policing and inter-agency collaboration to curb violent crimes nationwide.
