Police Arrest Wardrobe for Falling and Killing 4-Year-Old Boy

wardrobeThe Police in Lagos have arrested a detached wardrobe, after the dress storage facility allegedly fell on a four-year-old boy and killed him on the spot.

This is even as the Area Commander, “M” in Idimu, a suburb of Lagos an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bashiru M. Shinkafi, has reportedly died in the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.

Police spokesperson in the State, Ngozi Braide, confirmed to our Correspondent that the wardrobe incident happened in the Igando area of the State.

According to her on September 3rd  about 10.00am,   at No. 17, Anishere Street, Ayobo, a cupboard fell on one Emmanuel Ore-Ofe Saheed ‘m’ aged 4 years old.

“Victim died on the spot and the corpse has been deposited at Igando General Hospital mortuary for autopsy while the wardrobe has been placed under the custody of Police at Ayobo Divisional Headquarters.”

Braide said the incident was under investigation at Ayobo Division and would soon be taken to court, with the wardrobe as the primary suspect.

The Police spokesperson stated further that on September 3rd, at about 5.30 pm, “ACP Bashiru M. Shinkafi  in-charge of Area ‘M’ Headquarters Idimu who has been ill for months, died at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi-Araba.

The corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy, while investigation into the case to determine the possible circumstances that led to his death continues at Itire Division.
