A 52-year-old petrol station manager, Mrs Bose Agemo, on Friday appeared before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court over an alleged N9,989,110 fraud.

The defendant, whose house address was not provided, is being tried for alleged fraud.

He however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, ASP Edet Ekpo told the Court that the defendant committed the offence on June 30, at Sadek filing station, Iyafin area of Badagry, Lagos state.

Ekpo alleged that the defendant fraudulently converted the sum of N9,989,110, property of one Isiaka Yisau, the complainant to his own use by stealing.

“The defendant was arrested and handed over to Police for prosecution.

“The offence contravene Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2015,” he said.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Nurudeen Layeni granted the defendant bail in the sum N1,000,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Layeni, who ruled that one of the sureties must be a company director, adjourned the case until Nov.26, for mention. (NAN)
