Peter Obi, Ekeh to Headline ESUT/Yudala Mega Entrepreneurship Summit

Admin October 31, 2016

yzg-enugu-seminarFormer Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi and Chairman, Zinox Group, Leo Stan Ekeh have been confirmed as the lead speakers for a mega entrepreneurship summit scheduled for Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu on Thursday November 4th from 10am.

The entrepreneurship summit, put together by the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Business School in partnership with Africa’s pioneer composite e-commerce outfit, Yudala will see both renowned entrepreneurs lead the discussions into the nitty-gritty of street entrepreneurship and the basic ways of creating and sustaining wealth in 21st Century Nigeria. Also expected as the Special Guest of Honour for the epoch-making event is Deputy Senate President, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, among other distinguished guests.

Already, anticipation is building up in the city of Enugu and other South Eastern states for the summit, which is expected to also grant many attendees a chance to learn more about YUBOSS – an entrepreneurship and wealth creation scheme set up by Yudala in partnership with Access Bank and Airtel and which has, only recently, received a commitment of N1.5B support from the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation to generate creative employment and grow future billionaires in Nigeria.

A world-class Nigerian Digital Entrepreneur for over 28 years, Zinox Group Chairman, Ekeh has built the biggest integrated ICT Group in Africa. Honoured by former President Obasanjo on October 1st, 2001 as an ICON of Hope to younger Nigerians for his incisive digital entrepreneurship, Ekeh has earned over 70 local and international awards and 5 Honorary Doctorate Degrees for sustained entrepreneurship.

On his part, Dr. Peter Obi, an entrepreneur and former Governor of Anambra State is an astute businessman, with a wealth of experience in banking and corporate circles before veering into politics where he distinguished himself as two-term Governor of Anambra State. A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Peter Obi’s sterling record of entrepreneurship and leadership has made him one of the leading sources of business intelligence and insights in Nigeria and beyond.

The event, which is targeted at professionals, civil servants, students, unemployed and under-employed youth, will afford many an opportunity to benefit from invaluable mentoring tips and sessions from both dignified speakers in the course of the programme.

Interestingly, the venue of the entrepreneurship summit – Michael Okpara Square – will also host the Yudala Coalfest Zero Gravity Mega Music Concerts featuring a host of leading artistes, with a Contemporary Music Concert headlined by Flavour, Zoro, Nigga Raw, Naeto C, Humble Smith and others on Saturday November 5th. This will be followed on Sunday November 6th by what is being touted as the biggest Rock Gospel Concert ever witnessed in the South East featuring Frank Edwards, Sammie Okposo, Buchi, Chioma Jesus, Joe Praise, Steve Crown, Chinyere Udoma, Nkay and Gozie Okeke of Akanchawa fame, among others. It promises to be the most rewarding weekend this year East of the Niger, with all roads in Nigeria leading to the Enugu State capital.
