Pastor Adeboye visits, prays for Buhari in London

Admin August 18, 2017

Pastor Adeboye with President Buhari in London recently

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, was a surprise visitor to recuperating President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja House, London where the President had been on medical vacation for over 100 days.

Pastor Adeboye, a conservative preacher of holiness and righteous living is respected in Africa and the world among Christian faithful and he has always been sought after by Presidents around the world. State House photos released on Friday showed Adeboye sharing moments with the President and posing for a photo-op with the man whom many politicians had been queuing to visit in the last two months.

He was said to have prayed for Mr. President. Recall that since the President took ill, the RCCG family had always prayed for his healing especially at the monthly Holy Ghost nights along KM 46 Lagos-Ibadan expressway, the headquarters of the global church.

Political Economist also recalls that the RCCG offered similar prayers for former President, Umaru Yar’adua, who took ill in 2010 and was quarantined in a Saudi Hospital where nobody, except his wife Turai, was allowed access. However, in spite of the prayers of the church including Pastor Adeboye, Yar’adua died.

Church members and Christian faithful spoken to said Adeboye’s gesture was one of the commands of God that all followers of Christ must pray for those in authority.
