Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, has assured that Nigeria would be restored to the good old days when her economy was strong.

Preaching on Sunday at the church’s thanksgiving service with the theme, Uncommon Miracles, Adeboye referenced life in the 80s when the naira was stronger than the US dollar and assured that the Nigeria economy would bounce back with a stronger naira to boot.

“The good old days will return for Nigeria,” he assured.

The pastor noted worldwide for his humility and prudence with words, said he was convinced that the God of uncommon miracles will turn things around for the nation.

Recall that in the 80s, the naira was stronger than the dollar with about 80 kobo exchanging for one dollar.

Poor leadership fuelled by corruption and bad government policies which ensured over-dependence on crude oil export to the detriment of agriculture coalesced to collapse the naira.
