The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has emerged victorious in the 2024 Ondo governorship election, winning all 18 Local Governments with a wide margin against the closest rival, Ajayi Agboola  of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The final results were collated Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission. INEC, in Akure, the state capital.

The election which was held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 had been hailed as largely free and fair by observers.
