Olatoye Sugar Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen in Ibadan

A serving member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal constituency, Honorable Olatoye Temitope Sugar has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

Olatoye who was also the Senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party in February 23 national Assembly election, was shot at his Oluyole residence in Ibadan.

Reports have it that trouble had earlier ensued between the groups loyal to the duo, which finally led to the unslaught of the serving reps member. Confirming the incident, his younger brother, Oladotun disclosed that the Sugar was was truly shot and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
But, investigation later revealed that he was rushed to Intensive Care Unit at the University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan where he died a few hours later following injuries he sustained from the gunshot.

His death report was confirmed by the Public Relations Unit of the UCH, Ibadan.
