The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, says the Palace will on Friday, Feb. 24, unveil the statue of the Queen mother (Iyoba N’ Uselu), Ikuoyemwen.
Iguobaro said Oba Ewuare had conferred the Chieftaincy title of Iyoba N’ Uselu on his mother, Queen Ikuoyemwen, posthumously in November 2021.
He noted that the Iyoba N’ Uselu title began during the era of Queen Idia, the mother of Oba Esigie, in 16th Century in Benin Kingdom.
“The unveiling of the statue will take place at five junction on Uselu Lagos Road, Benin on Feb. 24,” he said.
