Welcome home! From left: Tunde Olusunle and Tivlumun Nyitse, (both journalists and poets), receive renowned, multiple award-winning poet, literary critic, dramatist, scholar, essayist and public intellectual, Professor Niyi Osundare, to Abuja. Osundare is a winner of the Commonwealth Poetry Prize; Noma Award and the Fonlon/Nichols Prize for poetry, among others. He was in 2013, decorated with the Nigerian National Order Merit, (NNOM), the highest recognition for creative and intellectual excellence in Nigeria. Osundare will be delivering the lecture at the NNOM Awards ceremony, Wednesday December 7, 2022, in Abuja.
