NIRA elects new leaders, Nweke, Agbata are Directors

The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) has elected five new members into its Board. The keenly contested election which took place during the 9th Annual General Meeting of the association to receive its 2016 report and accounts in Lagos, saw Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr., Presenter, Tech Trends on Channels TV & Founder, CFAtech.ng; Mrs. Nkem Anthonia Nweke of DigitalSENSE Africa, Dr. Eugene Ohu of Netrob Media, emerging as Directors of the Executive Board, while Mrs. Yetunde Johnson of Slingshot Technologies and Mr. Biyi Oladipo were elected Treasurer and Financial Secretary respectively.

Rev’ Folayan however charged the newly elected members to contribute their quota towards growing .ng domain name adoption in the country.

The Electoral Committee was drawn from NIRA Patrons and Board of Trustees including Dr. Isaac Odeyemi, Dr. Chris Nwannenna and Mrs. Ibukun Odusote who presided over the committee.

The newly elected board members will join Rev’. Sunday Folayan, NIRA president, Mr. Muhammed Rudman, vice president, while other members include Mr. Ike Nnamani, Mr. Segun Akano and Mr. Sunday Olutayo.
