The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council, NIPC, Mrs. Yewande Sadiku on Monday arrived the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC where she was quizzed on allegation of fraud in the council.

It was gathered that Sadiku was invited by the EFCC following complaints from within the NIPC alleging contract fraud, favouritism and frivolous allowances standing in her name. Though the amount of the alleged contract scam was not stated but insiders claim that there had been series of bloated contracts running into hundreds of millions of naira linked to Sadiku and her cronies.

EFCC sources confirmed her arrival at the commission in the morning on Monday and by evening she was still held back at the EFCC where investigators of commission took her through a series of questioning.

A source said she was not arrested but was invited to clear the air on the allegations.
