NIGERIA TO COLLABORATE WITH US ON DIRECT FLIGHT TO HOUSTON, TEXAS

In a bid to expand the horizon of the Aviation industry and deepening the bilateral relations with the United States, Nigeria is working towards a direct flight to Houston, Texas.

A statement by the head of press and public affairs of the ministry of aviation, Odutayo Oluseyi says receiving the Mayor of Houston Sylvester Turner, the permanent secretary to the ministry of aviation Dr. Meribole emphasised that the administration is keen to exploring investment and tourism opportunities as well as building on the existing bilateral relationship between the two countries.

He assures the delegation that all modalities required for the Bilateral Air Services Agreement between the two Nations will commence as soon as new Minister is appointed.

The Mayor says Houston is a gate way for trade to central and the western United States with strong infrastructure and strategic geographic location that will expand their relationship with Nigeria through Healthcare, technology, Agriculture, energy and education.

While Ambassador Akinyemi Bolaji of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assures the Mayor, that the proposal of establishing a consulate office in Houston will be considered.
