Mrs. Zahra Mustapha-Audu, the new North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, says her focus is to uplift women in the zone through empowerment programmes.

Mustapha-Audu emerged the new woman leader for the North Central zone at the just concluded APC National Convention in Abuja.

Mustapha-Audu who stated this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, said she would consult with stakeholders towards initiating empowerment programmes.

“As I assumed office, time will not be wasted in putting our vision into reality for the re-jigging of the party.

“I will be traversing the length and breadth of the zone for a robust engagement with women in our great party,” she said.

She said that the mandate was a clarion call for service that would not be taken for granted.

The women leader said that she would vigorously engage stakeholders and initiate quality programmes for the welfare and yearnings of women in the party.

“This is a call for service in bringing new leadership ideas, innovation, and paradigm shift for the betterment and uplifting of women in APC across the North-Central,” she said.

She called for the continued support and collaboration of the women folks towards making the dreams a reality.

“Together, we will build this party and your contributions and commitment are highly needed in this rescue mission we are embarking on.

“We should be rest assured that history will be fair to us in our struggle for the progress of the party, we must not renege in our efforts in making the party great in 2023,” she said.

She appreciated her political family for its support in her struggle to get the position, adding that victory belonged to all her supporters.

“May the region continues to experience great transformation in meeting the dreams of our founding fathers.

“I appreciate Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi for his leadership and the fatherly role which was responsible for the success attained,” she said.

She said that in spite of the turbulence and challenges that ensued, the APC National Convention was a success.(NAN)
