The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, says From November 2024, users of pre paid metres may not be able to recharge their metre if it is not updated.
According to NERC in a message on Tuesday, “Do not forget that if you have a prepaid meter, it may be time for an update. ”
The regulatory body explained further that the update will not affect the units in the meter, nor will it make the meter run faster than usual.
NERC urged users to contact their DisCo for more information.
