Applicants participating in the recruitment exercise for agencies under the Ministry of Interior will not be charged any fees for the mandatory Drug Integrity Test (DIT), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared.
The recruitment drive affects candidates seeking positions in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In an official statement released on Friday in Abuja, the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Mr. Femi Babafemi, confirmed that all administrative and testing arrangements for the mandatory drug screening have been finalized.
Babafemi explained that the Ministry of Interior has already made a bulk payment to cover the cost of testing all new intakes, making the process entirely free for individual candidates.
“The agency wishes to emphasize that no payment is required from any candidate or personnel presenting for the Drug Integrity Test,” Babafemi stated. “Consequently, all participating agencies and their personnel are advised not to make any payment to NDLEA officials, testing centers, or through any other payment channel in respect of this exercise.”
To ensure an orderly process, candidates are required to access the NDLEA Drug Integrity Test portal via a designated link or access point provided on their respective agency portals. This access point will allow candidates to complete their registration, submit necessary documentation, and undergo testing without any out-of-pocket expenses.
The NDLEA commended the Ministry of Interior for its cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, smooth, and efficient screening process across all testing centers.
