The late Laetitia

The murdered Assistant Director in Aso Rock , Laetitia Naankang Dagan, who was killed inside her Abuja apartment was a victim of pre-meditated murder (assassination), security sources told our reporter Tuesday night.

According to preliminary investigations, the late Laetitia was trailed to her apartment in Galadimawa, Abuja where the masked assailant professionally snuffed the life out of her without any trace.

“It was a professional job. The suspects obviously had been trailing her without her knowing it. She was ambushed in her home and was killed without the faintest noise that would have attracted neighbours,” a security source confided in our reporter.

The assailants were said to have trailed her from the  Presidential Villa to her home for about three hours. She was suspected to have been killed by 11 pm Monday. She was simply overpowered, beaten, hand-tied and strangled.

“The Police are now working round the clock to fish out the killers of Laetitia and the law will take its course”- Permanent Secretary at State House, Jalal Arabi said in a statement.

Homicide detectives are said to be working on two theories: A case of dispute with some person(s) in her office or member(s) of her family.
