A Sabo-Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Monday, remanded a 42-year-old man, Ekene Agha, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his co-worker’s three-year-old girl.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Peter Nwaka, directed the prosecutor to make duplicate of the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

She, thereafter, adjourned the case till March 15.

The defendant, whose residential address was not given, is facing a two-court charge of indecent assault and defilement.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, SP Thomas Nurudeen, told the court that the offence was committed on Jan. 6 at 3:30 p.m. at No. 40, Ago Palace Road, Okota, Lagos.

Nurudeen said that the defendant, under the pretext of playing with the girl, inserted his finger in her genital.

He said that the alleged offences contravened Sections 135 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
