LNSA COMMENDS GALLANT OFFICERS FOR APPREHENDING ‘ONE-CHANCE’ SUSPECTS

…Urges Citizens To Be Vigilant

The General Manager of Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Prince (Dr.) Ifalade Oyekan, has commended Officers of Ikeja Command of the Agency for apprehending three suspected ‘One-Chance’ armed robbers who had been perpetuating their criminal activities across the State.

Speaking on the arrest, Prince Oyekan said the three suspects are members of a crime syndicate and were arrested by the operatives of the Agency in Opebi, Ikeja, following a tip-off, before being handed over to the Police.

According to him, “Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects: Dele Olawale (M/52), Remi Ogunleye (M/45) and Kole Akintunjoye (M/40) reside in Ogun State but travel down to Lagos State daily to rob unsuspecting commercial vehicle passengers”.

“The gang, which usually operates in a Volkswagen Golf with registration number KRD 998 DE, acts like ordinary passengers to lure innocent victims into their vehicle before robbing them.

They carry out their criminal activities mostly in Lagos Island, Lekki, Ikoyi and Ikeja”, he added.

Reiterating the commitment of the Lagos State Government to fight crimes and criminality across the State, Oyekan called on the general public to remain vigilant as criminals don’t often relent in their efforts to fleece persons of their hard-earned money.

The General Manager also commended the Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi and Officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for their cooperation and support for the operatives of LNSA, informing that the suspects have since been transferred to the State Headquarters for further investigations and arraignment.
