The Lagos State Record and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) has announced the launch of its “Help Preserve Lagos History” campaign, which is a year-long public initiative and donation drive aimed at preserving the rich historical heritage of Lagos State.

A release by the Bureau said under the authority of Law No. 22 of May 2007, LASRAB has the crucial responsibility to Preserve, Manage, and make available for consultation public records selected for preservation or kept in its custody and care for the state archives and any other archival repository.

It added that the “Help Preserve Lagos History” campaign serves as a resounding wake-up call to the residents of Lagos State, urging them to contribute their archival materials and historical artefacts to LASRAB.

This effort is vital in securing and safeguarding the invaluable historical documents that tell the story of Lagos’s past.

To contribute rare materials and historical documents to this significant cause, citizens are enjoined to reach out to LASRAB through the following contact information: Email: archivedonation@lagosstate.gov.ng or by calling 09111700090 / 09111700091.
