LASG Judiciary Automates Probate Registry

Admin March 30, 2019

The Chief Judge (CJ) of Lagos State, Justice Opeyemi Oke,

As part of efforts to rebrand the Judiciary in Lagos State to international standard, the Chief Judge, Justice Opeyemi Oke has launched the automation process of the probate registry.

Speaking at the launch in Igbosere High Court, Lagos Island, Justice Oke said with the use of modern technology at the probate registry, all forms of human error and corruption within the department would be reduced to the barest with service delivery becoming easier and more effective.

She explained that repositioning the registry will make submission of probate applications easy due to electronic online payments that will eliminate bureaucratic challenges and revenue leakage.

Also speaking on the automation process, the Chief Registrar, Mrs. Taiwo Olatokun said the innovation will hasten customer service delivery, noting that members of staff have been trained to give warm and friendly support to customers always.
