LASG Invites Entries for Seasonal Activities, Celebrations

Admin October 16, 2026

Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is inviting event organisers, promoters, creatives, hospitality operators, cultural institutions and other stakeholders to submit entries for seasonal activities and celebrations scheduled to hold across the State.

The initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to curate a vibrant calendar of activities for its various festive and celebration periods, including Christmas, New Year, Easter, Eid, Independence, and other cultural seasons.

The seasonal activities are aimed at showcasing Lagos as Africa’s leading destination for tourism, entertainment, culture and hospitality, while providing residents and visitors with memorable experiences across the five divisions of the State: Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe.Interested stakeholders are encouraged to submit proposals for events and activities including, but not limited to: Festivals and Carnivals; Concerts and Live Shows; Theatre and Comedy Performances; Beach and Waterfront Activities; Food, Fashion and Lifestyle Fairs; Art Exhibitions and Cultural Showcases; Family and Community Events, as well as Sports and Recreational Activities

Speaking on the initiative, on Thursday, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, said the call for entries is designed to create a unified, inclusive and well-coordinated seasonal experience across Lagos.

According to her, “Lagos thrives on celebrations. As a Ministry, we want to harmonise all seasonal activities happening across the State to ensure visibility, wider participation and economic benefits for our stakeholders.

This platform will allow event owners to leverage the State’s promotional machinery and reach a larger audience.”

She added that selected events will be featured on the official Lagos Tourism Calendar, promoted on the Ministry’s digital platforms, and considered for collaboration and logistical support where applicable.
