The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut down four establishments across the Ijora Causeway and Apapa areas for continuous non-compliance with state environmental regulations.
The agency announced the enforcement action on Thursday via a statement shared on its official X handle, emphasising that the crackdown followed repeated warnings, official abatement notices, and multiple opportunities for the affected businesses to rectify their operations.
The enforcement team sealed the following properties after they failed to implement required corrective measures:
-
Helmar Building Materials: Located at No. 8 Ijora Causeway, Ijora.
-
Laprivad Nigeria Ltd.: Situated behind Funky Yetty along Ijora Causeway.
-
Innocast Nigeria Ltd.: Located on Saka Alao Street, Apapa.
-
Body Language Shipping and Cargo: Situated on Liverpool Road, Apapa.
LASEPA reaffirmed that the operation underscores its ongoing commitment to enforcing environmental laws, curbing pollution, and safeguarding public health across Lagos State.
