The Lagos State Police command has confirmed the arrest of a middle aged Lebanese for hitting a lady while driving recklessly and against traffic.
In a series of tweets on Thursday by the PRO Benjamin Hundeyi, “on May 4, 2022 at about 0745hrs, a middle aged Lebanese by name John Greg ‘m’ drove a Toyota 4Runner recklessly and against traffic on Sanusi Fafunwa Road thereby hitting one Omotomi Akinsanya ‘f’ which resulted in serious injuries to her leg.
According to Hundeyi, the driver sped off but was chased and arrested.
He however noted that the suspect is in custody while the vehicle has been impounded and in the station.
He added that the victim is now undergoing treatment at LASUTH while the family and the embassy of Lebanon have been duly informed as investigation is ongoing.
