Mrs. Blessing Enyo Samuel
Her name is Mrs. Blessing Enyo Samuel, a graduate of the Department of Home Sciences with bias in nutrition/dietetics, Kogi State University, Anyigba. An otherwise smart and intelligent girl, but the inexplicable tides of life including being involved in an accident conspired and dampened her academic grades. She graduated with a Third Class.
Yet, the daughter of the late CSP Samuel Ikani Ocheni and Mrs Veronica Ocheni refused to bow to the stigma of low grade. Instead, she turned what was an adversity to advantage. From being rejected at a job interview on account of her Third Class degree, she discovered her real self to kick start a journey in self-employment by providing solution to persons with health challenges using appropriate dietary therapy. Through her obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and such like have bowed to her dietary therapy.
Today, she is an employer of labour with clientele spilling over 7,000. The dietician and healthy living expert tells her inspirational story:
Asking Mr. Folorunsho for a position in his company, he yelled: “What’s your class of degree?”
“Third class sir ”
” What ? ”
“Are you mocking me or what ? ”
” Did I tell you I run a company for the dumb? ”
” How do you mean sir ? ”
“Do you have an idea how many first class graduates got their documents on my desk and I am still scrutinizing them? ”
“Well, I know nothing about first class sir, I only know about Blessing Enyo Samuel. I am to work for you not some piece of paper, so how does it relate? ”
“I need people with proofs they can give me what I want , not some who had already failed even before they started. So I am sorry beautiful lady, you can’t work for me and of a truth, I doubt if you can ever get a befitting job with this result as far as Nigeria is concerned. Search elsewhere anyway, I wish you luck ”
I smiled ” thank you sir ”
The truth is, I never hunted for a job like most graduates do. My first job ever, is the company I own today. I had always done what I do today even as an undergraduate. I only was limited by the turn up of the humans I was trying to rescue ( as God enables )
The fact the accident I had dropped me to Third Class was enough to wake up and build myself “Cos I know say if na employment, I go grow white beards for garage ”
So the fire was ignited
“I discovered that wrong lifestyle is the reason behind all we’re suffering; only a change in lifestyle can cure any ailment ”
Some will insult me but I no send
” People, orthodox medicine is the number one wrong lifestyle ooo, number one source of all ailments today ”
“Wetin dis mumu dey talk ? ”
So many discouraging statements but I didn’t yield
My miracle started with weight shed
She came due to my numerous disturbance on Facebook
Week one, gbam! Week two, gbam! Week three, gbam! Week 4, gbam!
And in about a month plus, the high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis she suffered but refused telling me because she was skeptical, fizzled out
” Shoo, I dey fear you ooo, you be witch? I asked for weight shed, you treat 3 ailments join. Omo na you go tire for money, just wait make I turn the whole Senate upon you ”
She blessed me with N100,000 and started announcing me
Partnering with Dr Ken, an optometrist, I diverted his glaucoma/cataract patient on my first day in office (by curing him with same diet therapy )
” Hmmm…..Blessing, as it is, seems this office is no longer ………..”
“Yes sir, that’s why I have been waiting for you to come. I am moving into my own office today ”
His eyes shone ” Whaaaat, hooow, but you just came into Abuja barely a week, how were you able to get a place in this expensive part of Abuja? ”
“Well, let’s say, the potential in me which the world so craves, is more than enough to earn me just anything I need. How about that ? God bless you for the accommodation sir ”
And my company kicked off officially
One year into my professional practice which God had never failed to prove himself “madam, I have being following your activities, I must say you are something else. I watched your interview on channels, also listened to your radio talks etc, now I know I judged you wrongly
Please I have a request ” will you be kind enough to manage my company? I will be joining my family in Canada and I need a competent hand to handle it, just name any price and I will oblige you Ma ”
“Hahaha……Mr Folorunsho, we meet again. You need a 3rd class to manage your company, what about your first class graduates, are they failing to prove they can give you what you want ?
“No talk dat one again, am sorry, just accept this offer and even more will come ”
“Well sir, I got a company that’s even too heavy for me to manage. Currently I got over 7,000 clients world over, how about that? ”
His eyes sparked ” whaaaat? ”
“Soooo sir, that offer is too late to be accepted. It came at a time when it’s no longer needed. Look for a first class graduate who can give you what I would have. ”
Don’t know how it ended with him anyway
So many I looked up to for appointment are now the ones asking to partner with me, work for me, manage their firms / companies
And I would always ask myself “wait ooo, if I hadn’t come out boldly to show the world what I got despite all insults and criticisms, what would be of me now? ”
Am very sure, I would have been roaming the streets, begging to work tirelessly for one being and be paid a sum that’s not even up to my daily earnings now

Be you American, German, Russian, Nigerian, whichever “No human was created empty ”
Check the inner you, there’s something God dropped in there
Only this can bring you glory
Only this can bring you fame
Only this can make you important to the world around you
This alone can make you worth 1000 petroleum companies
Working in Shell is just not enough, how about owning Shell, ever thought of that?

How about owning a better company which will accommodate thousands of graduates on the streets?

I first brought myself forth and the world followed suit in celebrating me
