INEC to Reconvene Collation of Results 11a.m Monday, Urges Public to Disregard Social Media Results

Admin February 25, 2019

INEC says no more campaign
INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu has urged the public to “kindly” disregard any result seen on Social Media platforms.

According to Yakubu in a statement on Sunday night while addressing stakeholders at the Formal opening of the #NigeriaDecides2019 Collation Centre, Abuja, “INEC is the only constitutional body empowered to declare the outcome of the #NigeriaDecides2019 election results. Please be guided”!

“At the moment no State Collation Officer for the Presidential Election, SCOPE, is around. Some of them are expected tonight. Accordingly, proceedings are hereby adjourned. We will reconvene at 11am tomorrow 25th February, 2019 for the collation of results”
