IG Arase Says Falae Abductors to be Arraigned

Admin October 16, 2015

Olu-FalaeAfter discreet investigations into the abduction of Chief Olu Falae and the subsequent arrest of the suspected kidnappers of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has ordered the arraignment of the suspects in an Ondo Magistrate court.

The IGP, while commending his men for the quick arrest of the suspects, said the Nigeria Police under his leadership will leave no stone unturned at ensuring that all criminals in the country are brought to justice.

He asked for the cooperation and partnership of Nigerians with the Police, saying with credible and quick information, the job of protecting lives and property comes with ease, a statement issued by the Police authorities have said.

Elder statesman Falae was kidnapped in broad daylight in his farm by persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen. The suspects demanded ransom and were paid according to the family of the victim before he was released. The police later arrested some persons suspected to be the abductors of the former SGF.
