HP, TD Deepen Customer Engagement with Demo Centre Activation

Admin March 28, 2016

TD logoForemost ICT distributors, Technology Distributions Ltd. (TD) and Original Equipment Manufacturers, Hewlett Packard (HP) have taken a huge step towards deepening engagement with prospective and existing customers with the launch of a HP demonstration centre located within the premises of TD headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos.

The demo centre was unveiled to the public at a low-key event which had representatives of both organizations in attendance on Thursday, March 24th.

According to information made available to the media, the HP demonstration centre which is strategically positioned in the marketing hub of the TD building will afford customers a unique opportunity to experience the look and feel of new products being released by the Hewlett Packard brand – with dedicated attendants on hand to provide answers to enquiries on specifications and pricing in a move that will undoubtedly lead to improved engagements with the consumer and quicker turn-around of positioned SKUs and products.

Among the new products and devices which featured at the unveiling were the HP Star Wars edition laptop and the sleek HP Pavilion X360. Attendees at the launch of the demo centre were also treated to an exhibition of the latest printing technologies with the unveiling of the HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP630Z printer and the HP Colour LaserJet MFP 227n printer.

Managing Director HP Inc. Nigeria, Mrs. Ify Afe who led the HP team to the event, noted that the demonstration centre will go a long way in boosting customer experience, while fast-tracking the decision-making process.

“With the launch of this demonstration centre, we have extended our touch-points with the customer who now have another avenue to experience our latest offerings. Here in this centre, you can touch, feel and see our products in action. In addition, our customer service attendants will be available to provide answers to any questions that may arise. Subsequently, the customer can then proceed to the order placement or buying stage immediately.

“We are delighted by this partnership with Technology Distributions Ltd. who have remained one of our major partners over the years and especially for making this space available. We are optimistic that this centre will go a long way in deepening our engagement with the customer and aiding their buying decision,” she affirmed.

Also speaking, TD’s Managing Director (Marketing), Mrs. Chioma Chimere hailed the launch of the HP demonstration centre as a step in the right direction. In her opinion, the role of constant engagements and physical interaction with the consumer cannot be over-emphasized in the contemporary business space, noting that the centre will fill a huge gap for many customers who would desire to experience the look-and-feel of HP’s new products, devices and technologies before making the buying decision.

With branches in major cities coupled with expansion into other African capitals, TD has forged a reputation for being the prime ICT distributor in the West African sub-region. Backed by its status as the pioneer manufacturer-accredited local distributor for the sub-region, TD has successfully represented a number of globally renowned brands which has helped maintain its position as the market leader.
