Gunmen attack NIPSS, kill two soldiers, one cop

Unknown gunmen reportedly attacked the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State, on Monday night, killing two Soldiers and a policeman.

The gunmen were said to have attacked the institute at about 11:40 p.m. and opened fire.
Security men on duty tried to reorl them triggering an exchange of gunfire.

A staff member of the institute confirmed the incident, but added that the situation was brought under control by security personnel.

According to the staff, security operatives engaged the attackers in a gunfire  to prevent them from gaining access to the institution.

The three secuity personnel who lost their lives during the attack, included two soldiers and one police officer attached to the institute’s security unit.

Gunmen have attacked some institutions in the north including Military formations.
