Governor Okowa
It is with a sense of hope of fulfilment that the news of the nomination of His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as running mate to the presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, reached us.
The choice is the product of a rigorous process that has been the hallmark of PDP. Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa has accomplished a lot in Delta State. He is a symbol of peace, fairness, development and the rule of law. These are the legacies he is bequeathing in Delta State. We are glad that he is in a position to reenact these and more at the national level.
Okowa will strengthen Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy and greatly improve his chances of clinching the presidency in 2023. Ultimately, Nigeria is the winner and beneficiary of the Atiku-Okowa visionary tag team that holds a lot of promise for Nigeria. With the choice of Okowa, PDP is primed to kick out APC that has inflicted unquantifiable pain and afflictions on Nigerians out of Aso Rock.
I want to assure all Nigerians that the coming of Okowa as running mate to Atiku Abubakar signals a new dawn for the country.
I know Okowa, I’ve worked with him for many years and I want Nigerians to brace up for a new dawn.
