An explosion has rocked the Oworonshoki, area of Lagos suburb injuring five persons including a baby.
A National Emergency Management Agency official Femi Akinsanja, told our Correspondent that the explosion happened in a beer parlour that is yet to open for business for the day on L and K road, Mayaki-Oworonshoki area of Lagos.
The police anti-bomb squad has already been dispatched to the scene and they are expected to determine the cause of explosion and make details public.
The State Commissioner of Police (CP) Fatai Owoseni, in a telephone interview said he was yet to have details of the incident. “I am aware of the incident, but haven’t got details yet.”
But there was strong indication from the neighbourhood people that it might be a gas explosion.
