Fidelity Bank activates keyboard payment solution

Fidelity Bank Plc has inaugurated an innovative solution, tagged “Flashkey”, designed primarily to allow customers send money and pay bills using their phone keyboards without recourse to online banking platform.

The bank said that Flashkey, a ground-breaking initiative was designed to enable customers and members of the banking public to initiate payments and effect transfers using their phone keyboard in an easy and convenient manner.

The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo, as saying that “Flashkey allows customers to carry out transactions while on any social media platforms.

“The bank will continue to introduce products that serve its numerous customers and the banking public,” he said in a statement.

“Flashkey will allow customers to generate and deliver instant message notifications to the fund recipients.

“It does not matter if you are chatting, sending a mail, or browsing on your phone, this solution ensures that you do a transaction in a flash without having to log into your Online Banking app.”

Mrs Ifeoma Onibuje, the bank’s Divisional Head e-Banking said that customers only needed to follow a simple process to activate the solution.

“To activate this solution simply log into your Online Banking app with your Username and Password. Navigate to settings and select “Activate Flashkey.

“Set up is completed by setting Flashkey as default keyboard and entering the Online Banking username” Onibuje said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fidelity Bank is a full-fledged commercial bank with over 3.9 million customers across its 240 business offices and various other digital banking channels.
