The federal government has flagged off the implementation of the National Agricultural Growth Scheme agro Pocket
in 5 states of Kano Niger Kebbi Jigawa and Sokoto.
The programme is being executed under the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Programme ATASP1.
Agro Pocket Scheme focuses on Maize, Rice and Surghum.
Sixty thousand farmers in the five states will be assisted with inputs such as fertilizer, herbicide and insecticide.
The initiative was flagged off in Bunkure local government area of Kano State.
