In a renewed effort to sanitise the nation’s capital, the Federal Capital Territory Administration, through its Social Development Secretariat, has arrested 210 individuals involved in street begging and suspected criminal activities across the territory

The Acting Director of the Social Welfare Department, Gloria Onwuka, made this known during the official handing over of the apprehended persons to the Vocational and Rehabilitation Centre in Bwari Area Council.

Recall that the FCTA has declared its non tolerance to the activities of beggars, reiterating its stance on curbing the menace of street begging.
