Oscar Ibru

The family of Olorogun Oscar Ibru, billionaire businessman and chairman of the Ibru Organisation, has announced his death at age 67.

He was said to have died after a brief illness. The announcement has triggered waves of shock and disbelief among the nation’s business community where the deceased was a key member and influence.

Family members and friends are already mourning a man regarded as a maverick in the brave world of entrepreneurship.

He is regarded as the glue holding the Ibru business dynasty together and ensuring growth of the vast enterprise.

His late father, Olorogun Michael Ibru, was the progenitor of the Ibru business estate spanning shipping, oil and gas, real estate, media, hospitality and commerce.
