Saturday, 23rd August 2025 marks a pivotal moment for the Obidient Movement in Eti-Osa, Lagos as Obidients in all the ten Wards in the LGA converged in what could be rightfully regarded as one of most productive gatherings of the movement in the Lagos State.

Members of the Eti-Osa Obidient Movement organized this resounding physical meeting to bring together for the first time to herald the appointment of Volunteer LGA Executives and Ward Coordinators,

The occasion was chaired by Comrade March Oyinki, a member of the Obidient Movement National Advisory Council and Coordinator of the Supporting Advisory Council. The gathering brought together, many young Obidients within the LGA as well as a sizable number of elderly Obidients. Equally present at the occasion was the co-volunteer Coordinator, Eti-Osa LGA, Hon. Prosper Uka, the Deputy Local Government Chairmanship candidate for Labour Party in the recently concluded LGA election in the State, who also anchor the occasion as the master of ceremony. Equally present at the event were Ward Coordinators and members of the newly appointed executives.

The Physical general meeting, which was held in Annes Luxury Suites and Event Center in Victoria Island. started at 10:00 a.m lasted till 4:00 pm as member deliberated on a number of strategic issues on the agenda, which include growing our numbers across all the wards, grassroots mobilization strategies, Voters Card registration/validation, as well as the pathway to victory come 2027. Updates on the ongoing coalition discussions were not left out. It was a all rounded session.

The hall was charged as members deliberated on ways to consolidate on the movement’s ongoing grassroots mobilization and structure building efforts in order to chart a new pathway for the movement in the emerging political engagements. The resounding success of this first physical general meeting in Eti-Osa LGA, presents a great opportunity for members to connect, strategize, and strengthen the Obidient structures across all wards.

Seemingly, with this rather extraordinary gathering, the journey to 2027 has just began, where all Obidients in Eti-Osa have been reinvigorated, declaring their unwavering commitment and support for the movement, with a renewed vow to be fully behind our principal, His Excellency Peter Obi and lead efforts to engender positive change and good governance in the country.
