An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that a 21- year -old man, Chinasa Michael be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional centre for allegedly setting fire to the Oyingbo BRT bus terminal during the #EndSars protests.

Magistrate M.C Ayinde, refused to take the plea of Michael for want in jurisdiction.

Ayinde directed the police to return the case file to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution for advise (DPP).

The suspect, an unemployed man, who resides at 21, Ilogbo St., Apapa, Constain, Lagos, is charged with conspiracy, arson and causing breach of peace.

The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Segun Oke, told the court that the offence was committed in October 2020 at the Oyingbo BRT bus terminal, Lagos.

Oke said that Michael and others at large, set the BRT bus terminal on fire during the #EndSars.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of s Sections 168, 343 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.(NAN)
