Emenike, Moses Score as West Ham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace Zoom to FA Semi-Final

Admin February 21, 2016

emenikeWest Ham United were far too good for their Championship rivals, Blackburn Rovers despite an uncomfortable start, and their manager praised his team for their 5-1 FA Cup thrashing of Blackburn Rovers look easy.

Ben Marshall put the Championship side ahead at Ewood Park, but a Victor Moses strike and a fine free-kick from Dimitri Payet had the visitors in front by half-time.

Emmanuel Emenike scored his first brace of goals for the club before Payet added a brilliant late fifth as Bilic’s side took control in the second half following Chris Taylor’s red card, though they did see Cheikhou Kouyate sent off in the closing stages.

Elsewhere, Tottenham was shocked at home by a resilient Crystal Palace who brushed their host aside by a one goal victory.

At Stamford Bridge, what was touted as match of the day turned out a one-way traffic as Chelsea battered Manchester City 5-1 to cruise to the semi-final. Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho provided the assist for City’s lone goal.
