Elon Musk now worth $409.0bn despite hits from Trump, others

World’s richest man, Elon Musk, who has seen his wealth rise and fall within a range of $100 billion is still top of the class with today’s real time networth of $409 billion, after frequent gains and losses during his curious DOGE appointment in Donald Trump’s government.

During Musk’s tenure at the White House to help cut cost of governance, his net worth reportedly rose and fell within a range of $100 billion, with Tesla taking the hit from an angry global public.

In early 2025 alone, Musk’s net worth had witnessed changes. In March, his wealth dipped to an estimated at $342.4 billion, down from a high of $464 billion in December 2024 due largely to a 45% decline in Tesla’s stock price.

However, the maverick serial investors who scours space just the way you walk about in your living room has worked his wealth back to $409 billion and he still remains the only billionaire in the $400 billion club.

Musk himself admitted that his dalliance with Trump and stint at DOGE cost him some dollars in losses but he seems happy now being where he wants to be and having all the time for his businesses, all steeped in innovation. He is projected to become the world’s first ever trillionaire in a matter of years.

Other billionaires lumbering behind him include Larry Ellison of Oracle ($247.9 B); Mark Zuckerberg ($235.6 B); Jeff Bezos ($224.6 B); Warren Buffett ($151.8 B}; Larry Page ($138.4 B); Bernard Arnault & family the French owners of luxury brand LVMH ($137.4 B); Steve Ballmer of Microsoft ($136.8); Sergey Brin of Google ($132.5 B); Jensen Huang the Semiconductors maker.
