EFCC arraigns Stock broker over alleged N1bn fraud

EFCC Enugu State branch has arraigned one Chiedu Ijiomah with his company Adonai Stockbrokers Limited before Justice C. C Ani of Enugu State High Court, on three charges related to theft, treason and looting of people’s capital worth one billion and five million Naira.

The accused has denied his crime when he was read to him.

The judge granted bail to the suspect worth twenty million Naira, with a requirement to bring two sureties, one of which must be a government employee of high status, and the other must be a businessman with assets in Enugu.

To date, the accused will keep his passport in court.

The judge postponed the hearing to 22, 23, 24 March, 2022.
