Edith Udeagu bows out of office, Eyitayo Iyortim resumes position as interim COO, Head of the NiRA Secretariat

Oct. 15, 2021

The Nigeria internet Registration Association (NiRA) has announced the resumption of Mrs. Eyitayo Iyortim, the immediate past Chief Operating Officer (COO), as Interim COO and Head of the NiRA Secretariat.

In an emailed message on Friday, NiRA said this is to ensure a smooth transition.

“We are excited to have her back. She is well-known to the NiRA ecosystem, and we are confident that she will receive the usual cooperation as we all work together for Nigeria’s greater good”, the message reads.

Iyortim is taking over from Mrs. Edith Udeagu whose term of office as Executive Secretary and Head of Secretariat ended after seven years of “outstanding leadership”.

“From 2014 to 2018, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of the Secretariat, and since 2018, she has served as Executive Secretary and Head of the Secretariat. We are sad to see her go and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours”.

“We are also grateful for her outstanding contributions to the Secretariat’s success, the development of the Association, and the growth of.ng domain registrations”.
