After 134 days in detention, the Department of State Services has freed ex-Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, without a charge.

Bawa was seen leaving the national headquarters of the DSS, aka ‘Yellow House,’ in Abuja, on Wednesday night.

The ex-EFCC Chair was arrested and detained by the DSS on June 14, 2023, shortly after visiting President Bola Tinubu earlier on the same day.

No charge has been preferred against him but insiders said investigations were still continuing and that Bawa would be reporting periodically to the DSS in the course of the investigations.
