Manager said the APC would use the campaign platform, particularly the formal flag-off scheduled for November 5 in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, to inform the electorate about what the party had achieved, what it was currently doing and what it intended to accomplish if given another mandate.

The Director-General of the Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Senator James Manager, has charged candidates of the party to focus on issue-based campaigns by presenting the achievements of the party, ongoing projects and future plans to the electorate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Campaign Manager, who was flanked by the Chairman Media and publicity of the Campaign Council, Mr Charles Aniagwu; and two other members of the Council, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and Elder Godsday Orubebe gave the charge while speaking with journalists shortly after a meeting with members of the Central Campaign Council. He urged candidates and party supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in strict compliance with the law.
Manager said the APC would use the campaign platform, particularly the formal flag-off scheduled for November 5 in Oleh, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area, to inform the electorate about what the party had achieved, what it was currently doing and what it intended to accomplish if given another mandate.
According to him, the campaign should not be characterised by confrontation or violence but by constructive engagement, with candidates presenting verifiable facts about their records and programmes to convince voters.
“Whatever campaigns the candidates are doing must be issue-based. I am sure all of you will listen to us on what we have done, what we are doing and what we will do next once we are re-elected,” he said.
The APC chieftain emphasised that the party was not interested in creating trouble, urging candidates, campaign council members and supporters to remain law-abiding throughout the electioneering period.
“We are not looking for trouble from anybody, and we only hope and pray that people will also not look for trouble from us,” the APC Campaign Council Director-General added.
He described electioneering as a democratic contest that should be characterised by singing, dancing and, more importantly, telling the truth to the electorate, rather than fighting or violence.
Manager explained that the meeting was the first gathering of the central leadership of the campaign council since its inauguration, noting that the council had earlier engaged other segments of the campaign structure, including local government management committees and various groups.
He said the meeting was convened to brief members on the level of preparations, review progress and discuss the way forward, particularly the forthcoming campaign flag-off in Oleh.
The Director-General also disclosed that the Isoko Nation would host Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on November 3, ahead of the November 5 campaign flag-off.
He reaffirmed the campaign council’s commitment to coordinating activities in support of all APC candidates contesting the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
