Death toll in recent Kaduna attack rises to 37

Death toll from the recent Kaduna attack of two communities has risen to 37 after 3 more bodies were discovered in Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas, the State government has said.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, stated this on Wednesday, in Kaduna.

According to him, there were reports of recent violence in the two Local Government Areas, adding that the Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council, Mr. Francis Zimbo, had summoned an emergency security meeting.

Aruwan said Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai was being briefed on hourly basis on the security situation in those areas, adding that security patrol had been sustained..(NAN)
