An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Wednesday ordered that one Kazeem Adiatu (44) be remanded in a correctional facility for the alleged murder of one 20-year-old lady, Temitope.

Adiatu, whose residential address was not provided, was charged with murder.

The Magistrate, Mr. Olaolu Olanipekun, did not take the plea of the defendant for want in jurisdiction.

He directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice.

He, thereafter, adjourned the case till March 27, for mention.

The Prosecutor, Mr. Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on Nov. 24, 2023, at Olowo Area in Ibadan.

Amusan alleged that Adiatu unlawfully caused the death of Temitope by hitting her with cement block on the head.

He said the offence contravened Section 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
