Adimike suspects
The prosecution said Adimike was allegedly stabbed to death in his residence in the Guzape District of Abuja on May 15, 2026.
An Abuja High Court has heard how Anambra-born billionaire businessman Lucky Adimike was murdered in his home allegedly by his son, daughter and a female suspect.
On Monday, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command arraigned the two children and a female co-defendant before an Abuja High Court over the murder of their father.
The defendants — Adimike Odirachukwu Anthony, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade — were brought before FCT High Court following the conclusion of a police investigation into the killing.
According to the prosecution, Adimike was allegedly stabbed to death in his residence in the Guzape District of Abuja on May 15, 2026.
The matter came to the open after a concerned family member alerted the Guzape Divisional Police Headquarters when repeated attempts to contact the businessman proved unsuccessful.
Detectives dispatched to the residence reportedly found Adimike lying in a pool of blood in his bedroom with multiple stab wounds. He was immediately taken to Karu General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead. The killing prompted an intensive homicide investigation ordered by the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi.
Investigators initially arrested five suspects, including the deceased’s son, daughter, driver and gateman, as detectives sought to unravel the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, prosecutors filed charges against Adimike Odirachukwu Anthony, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade.
The trio was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on alleged criminal conspiracy, and culpable homicide. In addition, Adimike Chinyere Stephany and Comfort Ajibade were jointly charged with offences under the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act.
According to the prosecution, the three defendants allegedly conspired to kill Adimike and were jointly charged with conspiracy to commit culpable homicide and culpable homicide in connection with his death.
After the defendants entered their pleas, the court adjourned the case until September 30, 2026, for further hearing and ordered that they be remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre pending the determination of the case.
