Buhari’s middle name is failure, he has failed the nation – DWAN

Hours after the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, called out President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to deliver on his promises, the Democratic Writers Association of Nigeria (DWAN) has described President Buhari’s performance in the past four years as a massive failure.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the National Coordinator of DWAN, Wole Adedoyin, in Ibadan on Monday corroborating the recent statement made by the Northern Elders Forum.

According to the statement, “President Muhammadu Buhari’s middle name is failure. He has failed to deliver on his promise to tackle the country’s economic and security woes. Unemployment has risen dramatically since he took office and has failed to do most of the agenda he promised during the heated campaign in 2015 and now looking forward to what will happen till 2023. President Muhammadu Buhari made a number of promises particularly on the country’s security, economy and his anti-corruption campaign. Since four years ago, we have not seen any tangible accomplishment on these. We have examined the President on his promises and works so far, and we have scored him below average”.

Recent innocent killings and deaths in Nigeria have shown that the President, the Commander-In-Chief of a jobless and undisciplined armed forces is not only sleeping on duty but playing kites with innocent Nigerian lives.

The Statement further said, they want the President to tell Nigerians how much the country had generated through IGR and foreign grants and what project he did with the money.

“We also challenge him to come and give account of his stewardship in the last four years as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria especially in the area of economy, security and his fake anti-corruption campaign. We already know that the current members of the House of Senate and the House of Rep. members are stones in his hand. He throws them anywhere he likes.”

DWAN further accused President Muhammadu Buhari led government by saying, “The President has been lavishing public funds on unnecessary projects, throwing indiscriminate millions on irrelevant and self-serving missions with the country’s funds and watching Boko haram taking lives of thousands innocent Nigerians.

DWAN finally advised President Muhammadu Buhari to wake from his slumbering and tackle the challenges facing the country and stop giving flimsy excuses.
