Buhari appoints Banire AMCON Chairman

Dr Muiz Banire,

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Muiz Banire as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

Banire, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, former Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He has been involved in a power game with the Ahmed Tinubu caucus of the APC in Lagos.

The President also appointed the chairman and 12 commissioners of the Federal Civil Service Commission.

President of the Senate President Bukola Saraki  read the President’s letter conveying the appointments at the plenary on Tuesday. All appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate
