Gov Ifeanyi Okowa
The governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will lead the cast of prominent personalities expected at the public presentation of “Hope and Fulfillment”, a book that chronicles the major achievements of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, immediate past governor of the state.
The book is a product of compilation of critical articles written by select journalists and published in major national newspapers spanning Okowa’s eight years as governor.
The articles were compiled and edited by Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, a former editor-in-chief of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Okowa’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS) and Mr. Frank Igwebueze, a former deputy editor of the defunct National Concord newspaper.
Hope and Fulfillment with Foreword by Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, one-time Minister of Information, will be unveiled on July 26, 2023 in Asaba.
The ceremony has Prof. Andy Egwuyenga, Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka as chairman while Alhaji Awa Ibraheem will be the Chief Launcher.
Political leaders, serving and past lawmakers in Delta State as well as principal officials that served in Okowa’s administration are some of the guests expected at the occasion.
